Studio Policies
Welcome to The Dance Spot! Our goal is to provide a positive, safe, and encouraging environment where every dancer can learn, grow, and have fun. Please review our studio policies below.
Registration & Payment

Registration is required before attending class.

Tuition is due the 1st of every month

Payments may be made via cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle
-
Returned payments are subject to a $25 processing fee.
Attendance
-
Consistent attendance is important for student progress.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before class begins.

Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to observe class for safety reasons.
Make-Up Classes

Missed classes may be made up in another class of similar level and age group
-
Make-up classes must be completed within a month after your dancer has missed

No refunds or credits are provided for missed classes.
Cancellation & Refund Policy

Tuition is non-refundable once a session has begun.

If a student withdraws before the session starts, a studio credit may be issued at Director's discretion.

Classes canceled by The Dance Spot due to weather can be made up with another class

Instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances will be rescheduled whenever possible.

No refunds are provided for studio closures caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Dress Code
Students should wear appropriate dance attire for their class.

Proper dance shoes or clean athletic shoes as required by the class.

Hair secured away from the face.
-
No jewelry that may interfere with movement or create safety concerns.
Parent & Guest Policy

Parents and guests are welcome in our back lobby

To minimize distractions, parents and guests may not enter the dance room until our prior class is finished.

Observation days may be scheduled throughout the year.
Health & Safety

Students who are sick, have a fever, or exhibit contagious symptoms should remain home.

The Dance Spot reserves the right to send a student home if illness or injury may affect their safety or the safety of others.

Please inform instructors of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations before class.
Behavior Expectations
We are committed to creating a respectful and supportive environment.
Students are expected to:

Treat instructors, staff, and fellow dancers with respect.

Follow instructor directions.

Use appropriate language and behavior.
-
Refrain from bullying, harassment, or disruptive conduct.
The Dance Spot reserves the right to remove any student whose behavior negatively impacts the learning environment.
Photography & Media Release
From time to time, photographs and videos may be taken during classes, performances, or studio events for promotional purposes. By participating in studio activities, you grant permission for The Dance Spot to use photographs or videos of students for marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials unless written notice is provided to the studio requesting otherwise.
Liability Waiver
Participation in dance and fitness activities involves physical movement and inherent risks. By registering for classes, participants acknowledge these risks and agree to release and hold harmless The Dance Spot, its owners, instructors, and staff from liability for injuries or damages that may occur during participation, except where prohibited by law.
Weather Closures
Weather-related closures will be announced through our website, social media pages, email, or text notifications.
